PURPOSE

Our purpose is to help people discover the "New Life" that God gives the believer through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our mission is the Great Commission. Jesus said in Matt. 28:19: "Go, therefore and make disciples of all the nations." Therefore, our purpose is to keep His last command as our first concern. Our goal is to help you fulfill your God-given potential. We believe you were created in the image of God with the capacity to have fellowship with Him. We want to help you develop the confidence to pursue your dreams for the glory of God!

OUR STORY

Ultimately, The New Life Story is about the power of the gospel to changes lives. The powerful influence of a positive Christian message is truly amazing. Helping people build a successful faith on the solid foundation of the Word of God is an incredible joy. To see God take a handful of people and multiply them into a congregation of several hundred is a tribute to the truth: “with God all things are possible” In the words of the great hymn, we humbly say: “To God be the glory, great things He has done!”

WE BELIEVE:

The entire Bible is the verbally inspired, infallible Word of God, and the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct (II Tim. 3:16, I Pet. 1:23-25, II Pet. 1:21).

In one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1, Psalm 90:2, Isa. 45:21, Matt. 28:19, John 14:16, II Cor. 13:14).

In Jesus Christ: His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death, bodily resurrection, ascension to heaven, and imminent return to the earth (Isa. 7:14, Matt. 1:23, 24:44, 28:6, John 5:18, Acts 1:9-11, I Cor. 15:3-4, II Cor. 5:21, Col. 2:9, Heb. 1:3, 4:15, Rev. 1:8, 19:11-16).

The Holy Spirit indwells the believer at the moment of salvation, and empowers believers with Spiritual gifts for ministry (Rom. 8:15-16, 12:3-8, I Cor. 3:16, 6:19, 12:11, Gal. 3:26, 4:6, Eph. 4:11-12, I Pet. 4:10).

The dignity of humanity is discovered in our creation in the image of God, and our design for fellowship with God (Gen. 1:27, 2:7). Sin broke the fellowship; spiritually separated us from God, left us spiritually depraved, and created our need for a spiritual new birth (Jer. 17:9, John 3:3, Rom. 3:10, 23, 5:12, Eph. 2:1).

Our salvation is by grace (unmerited favor) through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8-9, John 14:6, Rom 5:1, 6:23, 10:9,13). God loves the world (all of humanity), and Christ died and rose again for the sins of the entire human race (John 3:16, Rom. 5:8, I Cor. 15:3-4, Col. 1:20, I John 2:2). Believers are saved by grace, live by faith, and eternally secure in their salvation (John 10:28-29, John 14:15, Rom. 8:38-39, Gal. 3:11, Phil 1:6, James 2:17-18, I John 5:12-13).

The local church is an autonomous body of believers united together for evangelism, Biblical instruction, fellowship, worship, and ministry (Acts 2:41-42). The two offices are pastors and deacons (I Tim. 3:1-13), and the two ordinances are baptism by immersion, and the Lord's Supper or "communion" (Matt. 28:19, Rom. 6:4, I Cor. 11:23-26). The financial support of the local church is from the tithes and offerings of generous believers (Gen. 14:20, Pro. 3:9, Mal. 3:8-10, Matt. 6:19-21, I Cor. 16:1-2, II Cor. 9:7).

The Great Commission to make disciples is our mission (Matt. 28: 19-20). All four Gospels remind us that the great commission is not an option to consider, it is a command to obey (Matt. 28:19-20, (Mark 16:15, Luke 24:46-48, John 20:21). Jesus said He would empower us to witness, and He gave the plan for world missions (Acts 1:8).

The future judgment is a time of final accountability when God rewards the believer with everlasting life, and punishes the unbeliever with eternal condemnation (Heb. 9:27, John 3:36, 5:22-29, II Cor. 5:10, Rev. 20:11-15).

The blessed hope of an eternity with the Lord is our ultimate comfort (Titus 2:13). Jesus is preparing a beautiful place called heaven, and this gives us our greatest encouragement on earth (John 14:1-3, I Thess. 4:13-18). Jesus has triumphed over the grave, which guarantees our final victory (John 11:25, I Cor. 15:57, II Cor. 1:20).
